Because Marsdenia raziana is a narrow endemic confined to the deep, wet tropical biomes of the Western Ghats (specifically within districts like Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, and Wayanad), it has bypassed regional folk lexicons entirely. There are no recorded names for it in Kannada or Malayalam in local floras. However, thanks to "Flowers of India" [↗] for coining the fitting English common name: Deccan Marsdenia.
