TAXONOMIC NOTE
Historically, Hoya pendula Wight & Arn. was widely misapplied to specimens of Hoya wightii Hook.f. in regional Indian literature. Under modern POWO taxonomy, Hoya pendula is strictly a synonym of Hoya alexicaca (Jacq.) Moon, while Hoya wightii is maintained as a separate, distinct species. Regional names like Ambari and Peepi balli belong exclusively to H. wightii and have been omitted here. ... compiled from the web.
